I recently noticed that most of the people who I know to be procrastinators tend to do something in common which I also used to do back in my procrastination days.
We decide to meet between friends, they rarely come. They have something to do!
It is not that the rest of us do not have stuff to do. We deal differently with our stuff.
The procrastinators know (very well) that they have a habit of wasting time, and they have the false impression that tasks take them a lot of time to finish.
To compensate for the time they waste, they remove the fun time from other activities like socializing in the case above.
Do you want to reduce your procrastination? If yes, then decide to lose on nothing, go to your non-urgent appointments, make it a point to enjoy non essential fun time.
Instead of robbing your fun to provide for more time, decide to use your time well so that when the time to have fun comes- you have the complete tasks to add to the fun.
Do your work in anticipation of a bigger fun coming ahead - it reduces the emotional price one has to pay to beat procrastination.
